Black Annette Black, once an executive director of ACA’s Pennsylvania field office and codirector of Pine Forest Camp, Lake Owego, and Camp Timber Tops, passed away on January 6, 2014. She was the wife of Marvin Black, cofounder of Camp Timber Tops and Lake Owego Camps, and was a cofounder of ACA’s Pioneers in Camping. Richard Frazier Richard Frazier, a member of the ACA, Northern California Local Council of Leaders, passed away in January 2014. Richard was once the director of Via West (formerly Camp Costanoan) in Cupertino, California. Sabrina Hirschfeld Sabrina Hirschfeld passed away on December 1, 2013, at the age of thirty-six. Hirschfeld was the family enrichment coordinator of the Lattof YMCA of Metro Chicago, where she had served for fifteen years, and a recent ACA, Illinois Honor Award recipient. Robert “Bob” Rick Robert Rick passed away January 16, 2014. Rick had a forty-one year career in YMCA camp programs, thirty-one of which he spent as a camp director. Rick was a standards visitor, a member of the National Standards Commission, and an Acorn Society member. CAMPING magazine • March/April 2014 7
